Parent volunteers are essential to the success of the programs and events at Cherry Crest. The PTSA always welcomes and looks forward to having additional volunteers. We have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event, or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. The full list of our committees can be found in the PTSA directory page so if there is any specific committee you want to help with, please reach out to president@cherrycrest-ptsa.org

Seeking New Charger Chatter Editor for 2019-2020 School Year

Join the PTSA Communications team as the Charger Chatter editor! All you need is a couple of hours a week, basic computer familiarity (experience with Constant Contact mailing list software is helpful, but not essential) and an enthusiasm for sharing information.

Want to learn more? Interested, but unsure about a weekly commitment? Multiple volunteers can work as a team to divide up the roles. Email editor@cherrycrest-ptsa.org if you would like to participate or want to learn more.

Seeking New Website Editor for 2019-2020 School Year

Join the PTSA Communications team as the website editor! The website editor manages the content on the PTSA website and posts articles on a weekly basis that inform the Charger Chatter newsletter.

Articles are submitted by various sources throughout the school (teachers, librarian, committee leads) to keep the school community informed. External sources also submit articles to increase awareness of their activities (lessons, community events, Bellevue School District, etc). No technical skills are needed but it’s good to have an eye for what makes an article relevant and properly written.

The work can be done from home and on your own time. If you are interested, please contact editor@cherrycrest-ptsa.org.

Passport Club Checkpoint Volunteers:

Passport Club is a parent-driven activity thus we count on your support to enrich students' understanding of World Geography. The monthly checkpoint day is usually the last Monday of the month. At the checkpoint, parent volunteers ask the students to locate the countries pertaining to their level for that month on a blank world map. Students will then receive stamps in their passports for those countries. Please help us in making Passport Club a success and a memorable experience for our students by signing up to volunteer at the checkpoints. Additional details related to the testing and volunteer duties will be provided at the checkpoint. For questions contact: passportclub@cherrycrest-ptsa.org.

Library Volunteers:

Please signup for the times when you are available to help in the library. Arrive 5 minutes before the class time to help with book returns and an overlap between volunteers. We are hoping for two volunteers for each class, but this is particularly important for the kindergarten and 1st grade classes. If you are available to stay for several classes in a row, please do! Thanks for your help!
